THE WHEEL OF FATE IS TURNING

BlazBlue: Central Fiction (Video Game 2015) - IMDb

Game Genre: Anime Fighting Game

Developer: Arc System Works

Publisher: Arc System Works

Blazblue Central Fiction(BBCF) is Arc System Work's final addition to the Blazblue series, released in 2015, the game gathered a cult following due to its large roster and huge depth in both execution and game mechanics.

BlazBlue: Central Fiction All Characters (Including DLC) [PS3] As this is the final addition to an already long lasting series, BBCF has quite an extensive roster, coming with 36 characters that are all very unique and filled with depth!

Characters fill existing fighting game archetypes however they also come with new twists or are unique enough to have made their own archetype(with characters like Izanami!)

The game hosts quite a variety of modes, for the single player gamers out there the game has various arcade modes like a traditional arcade mode or something like a survival mode or time attacked mode, for the multiplayer gamers this game has both casual matchmaking and ranked matchmaking in addition to being able to create your own lobbies to play with your friends.
Additionally, the game has a story mode and gag reels featuring the characters in humorous situations for those who enjoy such things.

The game has quite a lot of mechanics, so lets tackle them.

1. Character Health Bar

2. Barrier

3. Overdrive

4. Meter

5. Time

The barrier allows you to block without taking damage in addition to pushing the opponent further away than a normal block.

Overdrive is a mechanic that can be used both offensively and defensively, when used offensively it allows for combo extensions and it gives your character enhanced moves, when used defensively your character "bursts" and escapes from an opposing player's combo.

Meter can be used to use super moves, astral heat, or roman cancel.

Super moves cost 50% and are usually done for more damage or to beat someone in a projectile war, astral heats are powerful moves that automatically win the match for you if you land them but they cost 100% and can only be done when the opposing player is at 30% health or less.

Roman cancels cost 50% and allow you to cancel the animation of any move including supers which can allow for unique combos that would otherwise never be possible.

The game is quite old, being a decade old, but it is still played by many players and the community is active and hosts tournaments weekly, biweekly, monthly, so you will always find someone to play with, it frequently goes on sales and it is a good way to get introduced to the anime fighting game subgenre of fighting games so if you are on the fence give Blazblue Central Fiction a try!.
